108 Uplifting Statments

I made this because I wanted to create something that would help all people if they didn’t like metal. Just a pure way of hearing positive things everyday. I wear a mala, which is a necklace with 108 beads on it that I say a mantra for each bead with. The number 108 has lucky or auspicious meanings in Hinduism and Buddhism so I figured I would make 108 positive things that I want to hear every day so I could somewhat have a meditation while in the car. I had just finished the song “Letting Go” so I needed to fill myself up with something new, rather laminate myself so I don’t get covered with all that mess again.

The song was recorded in one take on the guitar. I used the 12 bar blues and some classical guitar picking and just went stream of conscious for about 10 minutes which gives it a really nice and organic feel to me. I call my acoustic guitar “Veda” and she is an Ibanez Euphoria model by Steve Vai so it seemed to make sense.
