I believe the best way to be a better musician is to play with other musicians.
At the Garageband Academy in Pleasanton, CA we’ll form a band to make original songs using the “No Bars Held” method and cover songs from the greatest rock bands of all time.
We’ll go over songwriting, music philosophy, stage presence, live composition, and have in house concerts.
Currently Band Classes I teach are Sunday 11-1pm.
Future openings:
Monday 4-5:30, 7-8:30
Saturday 11-12:30pm and 1-2:30
Tuition
Regular band class rate: $60 x 12 weeks (3 months + rehearsal/performance) = $720 ($240/ month)
Back stage pass rate: ($50 x 12 = $600 ($200/month)
Backstage pass is when students are enrolled in private lessons at the Garageband Academy and in a Band Class.
Qualifications:
Have a good attitude. We’re all here to learn, grow, and rock. In the words of “AC/DC” it’s a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll. It’s a journey that we want to make awesome for everyone.
Must be able to play drums, guitar, sing, or bass.
Should be able to play a 12 Bar Blues chord progression, improvise or write lyrics, and play a standard drum beat.
Familiar with common rock drum beats.
Should be able to play 5 of the songs listed below.
Commit to 12 weeks and recital performance of 90 minute sessions.
Internet access with email address.
Can memorize lyrics and sing with passion.

HOW DO I JOIN?
Finding the right fit for our students is very important. Please complete the form below to help us start the process.
Like bands in the real world it could start with you and me and gradually build, so you would be getting a 90 minute lesson for $60.
After we have confirmed your band class, you will receive a start-up kit that will include the list of songs to learn prior to the first class.
Joining a class mid quarter is fine with us. We will help you get up to speed quickly. (The rate shall be prorated accordingly.)
